Our Role
For customer data processed through our business products, AI Intellects will generally act as a processor on the customer’s documented instructions, while the customer acts as controller. We may act as controller for account administration, website interactions, sales, security, and our own business operations.
Data-Protection Principles
- Process personal data lawfully, fairly, and transparently.
- Collect data for specified purposes and limit it to what is reasonably necessary.
- Take reasonable steps to keep data accurate and up to date.
- Retain data only as long as needed for its purpose and legal obligations.
- Apply safeguards appropriate to the nature and risk of the processing.
Legal Bases
Where the GDPR applies and AI Intellects acts as controller, processing may be based on performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, legitimate interests that are not overridden by individual rights, or consent. The applicable basis depends on the activity and context.
Individual Rights
Subject to applicable conditions, individuals may have the right to:
- Access personal data and receive information about its processing.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Request deletion or restriction of processing.
- Object to certain processing and withdraw consent at any time.
- Receive portable data and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Processors and International Transfers
We may use carefully selected service providers to deliver our services. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we use a lawful transfer mechanism when required, such as contractual protections, and assess safeguards appropriate to the transfer.
Security and Breach Response
We use risk-based technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data. If we become aware of a qualifying personal-data breach, we will support required investigation and notification obligations according to our role and applicable law.
